The 3/4 length underquilt gives maximum coverage at the least weight and bulk. You really do not need to cover your head and feet with the underquilt.
Put a self-inflating seat cushion into the foot box of your top quilt and then rest your feet upon it.
Or you can use a pillow for your head too.
