The bottom entry is great. Not only is it less fuss (no zipper pulls to find in the middle of the night) but it is kinder to any camping companions (no zipper pull noise in the middle of the night). It is large enough to fit most hammocks (several of my zipper socks from other vendors require extensions), and the bug-netted window provides ventilation to minimize condensation without cold air blowing right into your face.

It comes with its own attached stuff sack (let's face it, all these "attached sack" products could use a larger sack.) and is surprisingly light.

To stay warm, your hammock underquilt must fit without gaps. But using this sock makes that adjustment much less critical.

You'll still need a tarp - you want the sock to be breathable to minimize condensation - but you can use much lighter top and bottom quilts and extend the number of days when they are useful.

I use this at home when I sleep outside. It provides privacy from neighboring windows and blocks a "Sun" simulating streetlight at night.

It is so easy to duck under it to get in/out of the hammock. Did I mention no ZZZZZ Zipper noise. Love that.

Outstanding wind protection.
It was very comfortable even without a tarp.
As long as you have a ridgeline, it is easy to install, lightweight and compact, making it a must-have for hammock life.

Before I bought it, I was skeptical that it would really work.
When I used it, it prevented me from getting a cold, so I didn't need to put up a tarp.
The ventilation window is also effective and there is no condensation and it is very comfortable.
I wonder why it's not popular in Japan.

The storage is compact, lightweight and unobtrusive.
A must have for hammockers.

I was skeptical about purchasing this, but it's a great product.
Even without a tarp, I was able to spend almost without being affected by the wind.
The ventilation window works effectively and is comfortable without condensation.

I bought this for my onewind hammock. I live in Central MA along the NH border. I've used it 3 times so far this season and works great! Keeps the wind off holds in a bit more heat. Last night was about 34 on the mnt I slept on. I had a 40° bottom quilt but slept in my 20° mummy bag ,it was rather windy so I had the winter sock and worked amazing. I also had a tarp over the hammock ..
Being new to hammock camping I find onewind products very durable and you get a big bang for your buck, it's a bit more weight but still great stuff. I asked Santa for the new down bottom quilt by onewind.. lol
