WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
We Knew Textiles Before We Knew Hammocks
Our roots are in high-performance fabrics — breathable, waterproof, built to withstand the elements. For years, we developed technical textiles for tents, jackets, and outdoor gear. Some of our customers used our materials to make hammocks, but at the time, we only understood the very basic idea of what a hammock could be.

2017
A Conversation That Changed Everything
An American singer named Jose came to our city for a performance. He happened to be a passionate hammock camper.
During our conversation, he pulled out his phone and showed us photos of himself hanging between trees — completely relaxed, surrounded by nothing but open sky and green canopy.
It looked so simple, but so free.
We had no plans to start a hammock brand. But that image stayed with us.

EARLY 2018
When Fate Left Us with Rolls of Fabric
A hammock company ordered technical fabric from us — then suddenly went out of business before using any of it.
We were left with rolls of premium material sitting in our warehouse, and a choice: forget about it, or take a leap into something entirely new.
We chose to learn.
FROM OUR FOUNDER
My physics background pulled me into studying how weight, fabric stretch, and tension affect comfort. And honestly, being a woman in a deeply technical field shaped my perspective — I didn't just want gear that performed well on paper. I wanted something intuitive, welcoming, and genuinely comfortable for real people to use.
So we began. We bought every hammock we could find. Tested them one by one. Devoured every video and article. Jose even sent us The Ultimate Hang, which became one of our earliest guides.
After countless trials, we discovered something important: the leftover fabric wasn't ideal for hammock bodies — but it was perfect for accessories. That lesson planted the seed of a philosophy I still carry today.
“Good outdoor gear starts with truly understanding materials.”
OUR JOURNEY
From Curiosity to Creation

TODAY & BEYOND
From Hammocks to Horizons
Today, Onewind serves both weekend campers and serious hammock enthusiasts. We focus on lightweight, durable gear that helps people spend more time outside — and rest better when they do.
While we began with hammock systems, we're now expanding into ground camping gear and tents, because we want to support every kind of outdoor adventure.
Whether you're a solo adventurer craving solitude, an experienced hiker, or a family seeking a weekend getaway — we're here to make your time outside memorable.
WHAT DRIVES US
Built on Curiosity, Materials, and Comfort

Endless Curiosity
The same curiosity that started everything still drives us. We ask why, test assumptions, and never stop learning from the outdoors and the people who love it.

Material Mastery
Our textile roots run deep. Every piece of gear begins with a deep understanding of what the materials can do — and what they can't. Performance starts at the fiber level.

Real Comfort
Lightweight and durable aren't enough. We design gear that feels right — intuitive to set up, comfortable to use, and welcoming for everyone from beginners to veterans.

THE NAME
Why Onewind
The name was inspired by "Oneworld" — the idea that people and nature are connected, all sharing one planet. We only have one Earth, and we all have a responsibility to care for it.
Wind moves freely across mountains, forests, and borders. It represents freedom, movement, and the feeling of being outdoors. It connects landscapes — and people — in a quiet but powerful way.
Onewind is more than a name. It's a reminder to explore, connect, and care for the one world we all share.

FROM OUR FOUNDER
Every Line Has Meaning
When I designed our logo, every element was intentional.
The triangle at the top is a mountain — adventure, challenge, exploration. It also resembles a tent: shelter and comfort in the wild.
The flowing shape below draws from water, nature's rhythm. Look closer and it forms a hammock — a nod to where we began.
The center point is where Onewind and the outdoors meet — that space between earth and sky where comfort happens.
I chose strong, clean angles instead of soft curves on purpose. In the early days, I quietly wondered whether people would fully trust outdoor gear designed by a woman. So I made the logo bold, precise, and unapologetic — the same qualities I build into every product.
We're Just Getting Started
Onewind is still guided by the same curiosity that started everything — a love of materials, a respect for nature, and a belief that more people should be able to enjoy the outdoors in comfort.
